A very well established family owned professionally run business offers a “Total Logistics Solution” for the Distribution and Warehousing of palletised products. We operate over 100 vehicles and 150 trailers combined with over 250,000 sq. feet of Warehousing. PC Howard Ltd is also a Member of Palletways, the largest Pan European Pallet Network.Currently recruiting for a groupage transport planner to work in our busy distribution department, organising the transport of palletised goods using our fleet of curtain sided rigid vehicles across the country.We are looking for somebody who has good organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt in an ever-changing high-pressure environment, working within transport legislation, including driver hour rules and weight limits, with excellent communication skills as well transport planning experience. Good geographical knowledge is preferred.Main responsibilities are;
· Efficiently creating loads fulfilling customers daily requirements, ensuring maximum vehicle utilisation whilst working to time critical deadlines and customer Service Level Agreements.
· Make sure vehicles and drivers are compliant and following road transport law at all times.
· Clear communication with drivers and customers ensuring the operation runs consistently and smoothly.
· Provide solutions to problems such as preventing customer failures, maintaining good customer relationships.
· Keeping the transport system up to date at all times to give our customers the best possible live service.Working hours are 8 – 5:30 Monday to FridaySalary £35000+ depending on experience.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From £35,000.00 per yearBenefits:
