SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Barnet, London. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a bright Year 4 student with ADHD, helping her manage impulsive behaviour and stay focused in class. Key Responsibilities:

• Support a Year 4 student with ADHD to remain focused and engaged in lessons.

• Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure positive outcomes.

• Anticipate and preempt potential challenges in the classroom.

• Assist during movement breaks and lunch to support the student's needs.

• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored interventions.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with ADHD or other SEN needs.

• Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.

• The ability to observe, anticipate, and preempt challenges.

• A proactive, team-oriented mindset.
