This is a very exciting opportunity combining the traditional accounts preparation duties with work in a very busy and successful outsourced division.

This firm represents a full cycle of clients across a broad range of industry sectors but also specialises within the rural and agricultural sector.

Main duties

• Preparation of statutory year-end accounts for a diverse range of clients.
• Bookkeeping duties for clients using Sage, QuickBooks, Xero or our client’s software as applicable.
• Preparation of periodical management accounts for clients and reporting in their required format.
• Client VAT Return preparation.
• Preparation of financial statements and corporation tax returns. Training will be provided.
• Adhering to deadlines or at least notifying the client and Manager where problems are likely to arise.
• Take responsibility for your work and the ability to multi task in an organised manner. The ability to plan your own work around client deadlines.
• Developing good rapport with clients, listening to their needs.
• Writing professional letters and emails to clients.

What about you?

• Knowledge of Word and Excel.
• IN excess of 2 years’ Practice experience
• Bookkeeping using Sage/Xero and QuickBooks preferable
• AAT qualified or equivalent
• Able to work on own initiative, but also be a team player.
• Able to focus and concentrate in a busy working environment.

Desirable

• Experience of preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
