Do you have the dedication and skills to support students in their educational journey? Dunbar Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant for a dynamic SEMH Secondary School in Wendover.

About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support, assisting with classroom activities, and providing one-on-one or small group interventions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
Provide support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Support teachers in preparing and delivering lesson materials and activities.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
Assist with the management of challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
A compassionate and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to take initiative when required.
A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in education.
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.What We Offer:
