Senior Safety Case Engineer - Hinkley Point C

Job Description

My client is seeking a Senior Safety Case Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. The role offers flexibility with 2-3 days of office-based work.

The Senior Safety Case Engineer will be responsible for developing and delivering safety cases for design modifications and emerging issues on-site at Hinkley Point C. You'll lead the preparation of safety justifications for design changes and work with multiple engineering disciplines as the project progresses.

Key Responsibilities

Develop safety case justifications for design modifications and emerging issues.
Work across disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, and Civil engineering.
Support the HPC Design Authority and engage with stakeholders on safety case matters.
Present technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
Requirements

Experience in leading nuclear safety case development.
Strong understanding of nuclear safety regulations and industry standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the HPC Safety Case and UK EPR Design is a plus.
Knowledge of ALARP principles is advantageous.
Qualifications

Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
Relevant nuclear safety engineering certification preferred.
