Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join our team at The Helix Education Centre. As a PE Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and inclusive physical education to our students, fostering their physical development, well-being, and positive attitudes towards physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of our students.
Develop and implement innovative and engaging PE programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Foster a safe and positive learning environment, encouraging students to participate actively and develop their physical and social skills.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' overall development and well-being.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education.
Experience working in a PRU or with students who have additional needs is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and PE best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
