Our client is currently looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Management Accountant to join their well-established service-based business based in Blackburn. The role is reporting directly to the company stakeholders and associated managers across the business, within a multi-site structure and will be a pivotal role as you lead and support the reporting of the company financials.

Duties for the Management Accountant include: -

• Develop accountability with the budgeting and projected forecasts, monitoring all internal expenditure costs and demonstrating visibility across the business.

• Process all accruals and prepayments, as well as the fixed asset and all depreciations.

• Reconciliation of the balance sheet control accounts

• Perform daily/weekly bank reconciliations for all companies within the Group.

• Manage the monthly payroll process and all associated submissions with HMRC, including VAT and Tax

• Define better performance reports across the organisation, incorporating KPIs and budgetary controls

• Calculate monthly recharges and manage the full billing process

• Manage the full purchase ledger processing and supplier statement reconciliations/payments

• Support the production of the monthly management accounts and performance data.

The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic service business who are growing organically and have a well-established brand in the area. The role as Management Accountant will provide autonomy and need someone who has some leadership skills, developing gravitas across the business and deeper financial accountability. You will bring with a few years' experience in a similar reporting role where you can work alongside owner managers and produce meaningful management accounts and commentary.
