Job Type: Permanent, FullTime
Salary: £300 - £350 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and site activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, site personnel, and materials to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Report to the Site Manager and assist in planning and scheduling project phases.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications and project plans.
- Maintain records, complete daily reports, and communicate project progress with stakeholders.
- Lead site meetings and resolve any on-site issues promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in risk assessments and ensure corrective measures are implemented where necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman, ideally within water treatment or civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, health & safety protocols, and environmental management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with subcontractors and engineers.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Competency with project management software and reporting tools.
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
- SMSTS certification is highly desirable.
