Our client is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position, starting in September and continuing until the end of the academic year. The responsibilities will include, supporting a pupil in Year 6 with ASD and providing class-based support to other pupils who require help accessing the curriculum.

This SEN Teaching Assistant Job Role:

Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, particularly those with ASD.
Assist in implementing the National Curriculum at Key Stage 2 (KS2).
Work closely with the classroom teacher to support student learning.
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom activities.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Required Skills and Experience:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
Previous UK school experience is essential.
Previous experience working with children who have SEN, preferred if experience is with children who have ASD.
Familiarity with the National Curriculum and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
