Our client is a well-established provider of residential care for children and young people, committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment. They operate several homes in the local area, fostering a strong network of support and collaboration. This particular role is based at a 4-bed home in Warminster, for a Children's Home Manager.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering and monitoring the care and progress of the children and young people.
- Leading, managing, and motivating a team of 25 staff members.
- Developing and implementing care plans and risk assessments.
- Facilitating care-focused training to a QCF Level 3 standard.
- Managing the home's budget and demonstrating sound financial performance.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the home's policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce.
- Thorough knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of managing budgets and demonstrating financial performance.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria:
- Ofsted "Good" or "Outstanding" rating in previous roles.
- Experience working with children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- 3 years' experience at a senior level within a children's residential care setting.
