A well-respected Nationwide charity is currently looking to recruit a Specialist Support Worker to start with them on a temporary contract as soon as possible.

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to FridayDuration: Three months ongoing Location: UxbridgeRate of Pay: £17.50 per hour via an umbrella company
Main duties of the role:
• Work in a Specialist service specifically for people who have been victims of trafficking, forced labour, or other forms of modern slavery
• Manage a caseload of around 6 male victims helping them to negate their trauma and creating trust
• Write and update individual support plans using an evidence-based risk assessment checklist
• Liaise with external agencies including GPs ensuring clients get the correct support and assistance
• Support service users through the immigration service by explaining their rights
• Work within a team of one other Support Worker and a Assistance Support Worker to make sure the best possible service is provided at all times
• Endure health and safety are upheld at all times, housing management functions are maintained correctly and any repairs reported
• Assist clients through any crisis adhering to safeguarding at all times
Essential requirements:
• An Enhanced DBS from within the last year with the Adults and Children’s list checked or willingness to obtain
• Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people
• Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
