TXM are seeking a Paintshop Estimator to join our growing clients team, responsible for estimating project costs and ensuring accurate pricing for materials, labour, and services. This role plays a key part in supporting the sales growth, maintaining strong customer relationships, and keeping up with the latest coatings and specialist paint technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project plans, bills of quantities, and documentation to provide accurate cost estimates.
Research, source, and negotiate best pricing for materials, transport, labour, and subcontractors.
Assess financial, technical, and operational risks for each project.
Visit customer sites to gather project details and maintain strong client relationships.
Stay updated with the latest paint and coatings technologies, as well as regulatory and legislative requirements.
Work closely with sales and production teams to support bids and new contracts.
Use the Protean CRM system to manage customer files, track costs, and ensure accurate pricing.
Prepare and submit detailed quotations while ensuring projects stay within estimated budgets.
Support the General Manager with yearly profit forecasting and cost monitoring.
Maintain customer satisfaction records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Skills & Experience Required:
✅ Experience in estimating/costing within the paint, coatings, or specialist manufacturing industry.
✅ Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
✅ Commercial awareness with the ability to assess project risks.
✅ Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and customers.
✅ Ability to work collaboratively within sales and production teams.
✅ Excellent organisation and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
✅ Proficiency in Protean CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
