We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Beauty Category Team here at Holland & Barrett, ideal for someone who is highly motivated, and process driven with experience in commercial or merchandising roles. The Commercial Performance Manager will play a critical role in driving the business's overall performance by managing key performance metrics, optimising operational efficiency, and ensuring financial targets are met. Working closely with the finance, category, and operations teams, the Commercial Performance Manager will ensure that pricing strategies, promotions, and sales initiatives align with company goals and deliver profitability. This position will also oversee data analysis, forecasting, and reporting, providing actionable insights that drive business decisions
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting
- Support the KPI budgeting process with finance business partner.
- Set funding budget and ensure delivery through alignment with Category team.
Promotion management
- Ownership of the omnichannel promotional plan from strategy to delivery working alongside Trade Planning
- Work with category team to plan and optimise promotions to overachieve sales and margin targets.
- Work with marketing and other category teams to make informed decisions around what we focus on and feature in campaigns
Trading
- Working with the category team, create weekly dynamic sales and margin forecasts.
- Monitor the financial impact of pricing changes, promotions, and markdowns, and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with the pricing team to develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability
- Coordinate the team's review & actions associated with BBE, Overstocks & Clearance
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office
The Person:
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a merchandising or similar commercial trading role
- Experience in Beauty is preferred.
- Strong numeracy and analytical ability
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Track record of working independently.
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally
