We are seeking an astute, credible and highly experienced Head of Portfolio Management Office (Programme Management Office / ePMO) for a permanent role in Yorkshire. This role will be fundamental in establishing the governance frameworks and assurance for a sizeable transformation programme.

Description

We are seeking an astute, credible and highly experienced Head of Portfolio Management Office for a permanent role in Yorkshire

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring effective programme delivery, providing senior stakeholders with comprehensive overviews of progress, risks, challenges, and opportunities within the investment budget to maximise the customer, commercial and colleague outcomes for the business.

This is a key hire for the leadership team and will be involved in one of the largest transformation programmes the organisation has ever delivered. This will be a hugely demanding role and would suit an individual who wants to progress to Change Director in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

PMO Leadership: Lead and manage PMO activities, covering both portfolio and individual project/programme support.
Programme Delivery Management: Oversee and manage programme delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Exec Stakeholder Relationships: Manage the interface with senior stakeholders to specify initiatives and ensure clear communication and alignment.
Change Framework Ownership: Own and set the change framework, including controls and standards for the business
Benefit Tracking and Reporting: Accountable to the Change Board for tracking and reporting on benefit delivery.
Governance and Controls Design: Design and ensure the effective operation of key controls underpinning successful portfolio and project management
Portfolio Reporting: Deliver all portfolio reporting to both delivery teams and exec teams Profile

A successful Head of Portfolio Management Office should have:

Experience of leading a Portfolio Management Office function (for portfolios up to £100m annual spend)
Senior level experience of collaborating closely with executive teams and senior managers on business-wide change portfolios
Senior level skills and experience of leading collaborative activity to review and prioritise project activities and in developing detailed business case submissions.
Ability to convert high level strategy and goals into operational plans
Strong communication, engagement and influencing skills
Ability to lead and motivate small to medium teams to deliver sustained high performance
Experience of portfolio planning within a complex regulated business
Understanding of financial services industry, markets, and competitors.Job Offer
