We have a great opportunity for a Design Engineer/Design coordinator looking to join a tier 2 construction contractor within their design team.

We are looking for candidates who already have design experience within the construction/built environment who have enough understanding of building design and technical details.

You will be expected to;

Assist the Senior Design Manager with day to day tasks

Working across 2 projects - both in excess of £50 mil.

Involved in Design Team and Client Meetings

Reviewing and Managing the flow of design information

Working with Senior Management and QS to input, prepare and manage design schedules

Liasing with design team and subcontractors directly

Work in isolation to manage individual design packages

Opportunity to learn / develop an understanding of construction methods / design and the general role in full

High workload at present will result in dividing up the tasks that could be quite basic in the first instance (such as taking minutes), but quickly moving on to manage individual packages

The client is in a position to take the right person on ASAP
