Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a large logistics company for frozen and chilled food products. We are looking for an experinced maintenance manager to join their engineering team.

Main responibility will be to supervise and direct Engineers to ensure maximum effectiveness and utilisation of Plant and Engineering resource.

Responsibilities-

* Effectively coordinates the Engineers activities: work assignments and maximize effectiveness of the teams at all times by ensuring efficient use of each Engineer.

* Ensure a team approach with regard to maintenance

* Provide support to Engineers in the completion of their duties.

* Ensure that all work instructions, procedures, job descriptions, etc. are adhered to at all times.

* Ensure that all Work Orders, PM's issued to the team are completed.

* Log all completed Work orders on the PM system.

* Work with other functions as part of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient running of the equipment and prioritize work as agreed.

* Coordinate the activities of your teams to meet operational targets; working with other functions to ensure mutual objectives are met.

* Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. attendance, quality, safety, GMP's, etc.) and ensure these are followed to maintain the required standards (e.g. Food Safety, PPE etc.).

* Efficiently manage and facilitate teams to resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely fashion.

* Order spare parts as required on shift if unavailable from stock and contact contractors/suppliers as required in order to resolve problems.

* Ensure all parts removed from stores while on shift are booked out of stores in the correct way

* Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts, tools or equipment completing the relevant order requisition forms with relevant information handing them into the Engineering Stores Administrator for processing

* Where a single downtime incident is in excess of 1 hour a detailed report, explaining cause, solution, labour used and times of attendance by Engineers will be submitted.

* Identify and analyse problems together with teams before crises and determine appropriate action and follow-up.

* Ensure remedial works to equipment raised by work order or PM's are highlighted to the Head of engineering

* Oversee contractors while on site.

Skills required-

* Computerised planned maintenance systems management essential

* Previous logistics industry experience highly desirable

* Bias Electrical, and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship. Level 3 minimum Computer skills

* A good standard of both written and oral English

* Basic Health & Safety

* Data and analytical skills (troubleshoot) People management skills.

* Temperature control, refrigeration knowledge

Will require you to travel to various sites with ocassional over night stays

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

£47k-£50k, dependant on experience

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
