We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive team and make a positive impact on our students' educational journey.
The Role:As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, as well as provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups. Your role will also involve covering classes during teacher absences and contributing to the assessment of pupil progress. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic HLTA who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities to groups and individuals under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Cover classes during teacher absences and ensure continuity of learning.
- Assist with the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
- Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff, and promote the school's values.
- Take an active role in maintaining the classroom environment and resources.
Essential Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices.
- Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Previous experience covering classes.
