A new senior marketing role with a blend of Product Management and marketing strategy. This role will be working for a fast-growing SME manufacturing company in Scunthorpe.

Client Details

Our client are a fast-growing manufacturing and production company, and are market leaders in their niche manufacturing industry. They are looking for a B2B Product Marketing expert to lead their marketing function.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Product Marketing Manager - Industrial Products role will include:

  1. Market Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
    • Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics to inform marketing strategies.
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product positioning and improvements.
  2. Product Positioning & Messaging:

    • Develop clear and compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to different customer segments.
    • Create product messaging frameworks and ensure consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to tailor messaging for different stages of the customer journey.
  3. Go-to-Market Strategy:

    • Design and execute go-to-market (GTM) plans for new product launches and updates to drive awareness and adoption.
    • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align launch activities with Product Development, Sales, and Communications teams.
    • Define product success metrics and analyze performance to optimize future GTM strategies.
  4. Sales Enablement & Support:

    • Develop and deliver sales tools, presentations, and training to equip the Sales team with the knowledge and resources needed to communicate product value effectively.
    • Support Sales with competitive analysis, customer personas, and use-case scenarios that facilitate informed customer conversations.
    • Gather feedback from Sales to continuously refine and improve marketing materials and positioning.
  5. Content & Campaign Development:

    • Collaborate with the Content and Digital Marketing teams to create product-focused content, including web copy, white papers, case studies, blog posts, and social media assets.
    • Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns (email, webinars, industry events, etc.) to drive product awareness and lead generation.
    • Measure the effectiveness of content and campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize impact.
  6. Customer Insights & Product Feedback:

    • Maintain a close relationship with customers to gather insights on product satisfaction, pain points, and new feature requests.
    • Conduct regular surveys, focus groups, and interviews to collect customer feedback and improve product-market fit.
    • Act as the voice of the customer in cross-functional discussions, advocating for features and benefits that align with customer needs.

Profile

The successful Product Marketing Manager - Industrial Products will have the below experience:

- 3+ years experience in a marketing role, working with PHYSICAL products- Desirable industry experience would include construction, manufacturing, security products- B2B Marketing experience- Strong understanding of NPD processes- Proven experience in leading a marketing department- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
