NCS is Hiring: Security Guard (Temp)

Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment on our Construction Site

We are currently seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team on a temp basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about safety and security who can take a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment.

Role Overview:

As a Security Guard, you will be tasked with preventing unauthorized access and ensuring that any suspicious activity is reported immediately. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Monitoring and patrolling designated areas to detect and prevent signs of intrusion or unauthorized access

* Responding promptly to alarms and disturbances, ensuring appropriate action is taken

* Conducting routine inspections of doors, windows, and entry points to ensure they are secure

* Using CCTV systems to maintain surveillance and monitor activities within the facility

* Assisting in loss prevention by identifying potential theft or fraud incidents

* Providing first aid assistance when necessary and following emergency protocols

* Preparing detailed reports on security incidents, including breaches or any unusual occurrences

* Working with local law enforcement as needed, providing them with relevant information related to incidents

Key Skills & Qualifications:

* Proficiency in the use of CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment

* Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and strategies

* First aid certification (preferred) with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies

* Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail

* Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear incident reporting

* Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations

* Professional demeanour with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity

Job Details:

* Job Type: Temp up to

* Pay Rate: £13.00- £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

* Hours: No more than 50 hours per week

* Location: Edinburgh
