Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for our clients based in Swadlincote. As a Production Planner your responsibility will be to develop and implement production and material plans to ensure timely and efficient achievement of manufacturing and delivery goals. You will work closely with the production team, suppliers, and other departments to optimise production schedules, manage inventory levels, and minimize lead times.

Production Planner Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components

Monitor inventory levels and recommend strategies for inventory optimization

Work closely with the production team to prioritise production schedules and resolve any production issues

Continuously monitor and analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align production plans with customer demand

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials

Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve production efficiency and reduce waste

Provide regular reports on production and material planning performance to senior management

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Location: Swadlincote

Duration: Permanent

Production Planner Requirements:

Ideally educated to degree level in Business, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field

Significant experience in production planning, material planning, or a related role in a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of production and inventory planning principles

Experience with ERP systems and advanced planning tools

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
