GSL Education is seeking a energetic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join a school within Birmingham particularly around Great Barr, Perry Barr and West Bromwich areas. This role starts from September 2024 on a long term to permanent basis.

The hours are 8am - 3.30pm

Qualified Chemistry Teacher

Location: Birmingham

Pay: £130 - 170 per day

The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for students, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in Science, incorporating both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate the varying learning styles and abilities of students.
Develop and deliver engaging chemistry lessons to high school students.
Prepare and implement laboratory experiments to enhance learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary curricula and share best practices.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
The ability to deliver the national curriculum in Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
Be passionate and dedicated to supporting every student to reach their full potential
Specialism in either Science and Chemistry area, with demonstrable expertise in the subject area.
Must hold a Chemistry Degree or similar.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.

Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check - Must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one)
