Job Purpose
MFT are seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Estate Helpdesk Assistant to join their Estates and Facilities team at Trafford General Hospital for up to 3 months. You will play a key role in supporting the WTWA Estates Technical Director, ensuring hospital sites deliver excellent estate maintenance services at the best value and quality. Your focus will be on maintaining a safe and high-quality environment for staff, patients, and visitors across the Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington, and Altrincham areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and manage work orders for the estate maintenance team across multiple hospital sites and external properties.

* Assist in the coordination of maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard in line with current legislation and service level agreements.

* Support the Estates Planner/CAFM Administrator by maintaining accurate records within the CAFM system, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements.

* Liaise with internal staff, external stakeholders, and contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of maintenance tasks.

* Help monitor and manage maintenance schedules for planned and reactive works to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.

* Contribute to the organisation of stores requirements, ensuring parts and materials are ordered and delivered on time.

* Assist in creating reports and data analysis for asset management and performance reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

* Basic understanding of CAFM systems (e.g. Concerto, Maximo, or Planet).

* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building services in a hospital or similar setting.

* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, contractors, and clients.

* Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills

* Experience in estate maintenance or facilities management, particularly in a healthcare environment.

* Familiarity with health and safety policies and procedures.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

Working Conditions
This role will be based at Trafford General Hospital, but you may be required to travel across the WTWA sites as needed. While primarily office-based, occasional site visits may be required.
