Decision Science Analyst

Location: Leeds, Thorpe Park, Hybrid working.

In your role, you'll:

  • Build, enhance, and maintain predictive models using the most appropriate statistical and machine learning methodologies.
  • Be responsible for presenting analysis to stakeholders within the team and across the wider company.
  • Gain understanding of Lowell's core business model and identify opportunities to drive significant value through analytic intervention.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to build upon existing machine learning knowledge.

What we need from you?

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline with a focus in statistics or econometrics.
  • Experience building one or more of logistic regression, generalised linear models, or categorical data analysis.
  • Experience with one or more machine learning methods (e.g., random forest, k-means clustering).
  • Hands on experience of numerical programming (using, e.g., Python, R).
  • Solid critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to keep looking for better answers.

Desirable:

  • Relevant professional experience in a model building environment.
  • Experience of database programming (using, e.g., SQL, PySpark, SAS).
