An experienced and proven Sales Manager required for a specialist organisation with head offices based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be expected to lead and inspire a Global Sales Team working within the Commercial Department.

NB: This role involves overseas travel - occasionally over weekends - up to 20 weeks a year.

About The Department:

The Commercial Department is responsible for maintaining and increasing global membership base along with driving sales of the company’s varied services.

About The Role:

As a Sales Manager, you will be required to carry out the following:


• Lead and inspire the Sales team


• Deliver annual sales, new member and member retention targets


• Increase membership throughout all current and potential countries of operation


• Increase sales of all products, training and other services


• Undertake regular visits and develop a contact plan for key customers


• Develop strategic new member targets


• Liaise closely with the Sales Teams in all countries to support new and existing members


• Organise events targeted at members and potential customers


• Support with planning and meeting arrangements for exhibitions

Essential:


• Demonstrable experience of leading and inspiring a sales team


• Comprehensive understanding and empathy with different and varied industries and a good understanding of the supply chains that the company supports


• Strong interpersonal skills


• Experienced results driven sales background


• Excellent time management and organisational skills - must be self-motivated


• Good verbal and written communication skills and able to build relationships with both customers and colleagues


• Confident meeting face to face with all levels of management


• Entrepreneurial and business savvy


• Able to support colleagues in Sales & Marketing teams


• English language skills


• Experienced and comfortable with significant domestic and international travel, occasionally over weekends and for up to 20 weeks a year.


• Hold a full driving licence

Desirable:


• Experience of working in a testing-based environment would be an advantage


• Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams / Zoom, PowerPoint and delivering presentations / webinars


• Experience of digital client management systems


• Experience of organising and delivering events


• Experience of overseas travel


• Experience of using social media platforms
