The AKTA Field Application Specialist is responsible for delivering first-class training for our lab chromatography instruments and to demonstrate how they are used in the most effective way, developing applications and thereby supporting and driving the overall sales success of our Research protein purification portfolio.

You will be part of our team of highly motivated and skilled supporters in our Munich (Germany) facility where we host a wet lab and a virtual lab which is equipped with the latest broadcasting capabilities.

This position is part of the Discovery and Medical company in Cytiva located in Munich, Germany and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Deliver hands-on training on the latest protein purification and analytical Cytiva instruments, either in presence in smaller groups in our wet lab or as a training via modern broadcasting technologies out of our TV studio (virtual lab)
• Support our customers either on-site or remotely by providing applicational knowledge and expertise
• Constantly develop and strengthen your knowledge in the field of protein purification
• Support our sales teams during customer visits, at seminars or at trade shows.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Scientific education (preferably master or PhD) in the field of protein chromatography
• Specific product and application knowledge in the field of labscale protein chromatography (hardware, software and consumables)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Profound knowledge of German and English with a passion of working in a multicultural environment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Ability to think and act commercially (sales skills) and a clear wish to develop into that direction
• Up-to-date product and market knowledge
