Public Sector Client based in Nottingham Your new roleExciting Interim Finance Manager Opportunity in Nottingham6 months fixed term contract Join our client as a Finance Manager on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis and start immediately! This dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives in a comprehensive accounts position. Key Responsibilities:Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in providing monthly management accounts, commentary, and variance analysis for all companies.
• Coordinate accounting practices across all companies to ensure efficient consolidated reporting.
• Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of staff salaries, deductions, and employer charges.
• Complete VAT returns for all companies.
• Oversee invoicing processes, credit control, and debt collection.
• Assist in preparing the annual group budget and long-term financial plans.
• Prepare cash flow projections.
• Maintain appropriate finance systems and records with documented procedures.
• Prepare end-of-year financial statements and manage the annual audit process for all companies.
• Complete tax and pension year-end returns and audits.
• Maintain accurate project records, including costing, salary allocation, overhead apportionment, and fund claims.
• Support the finance requirements of company contracts.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register, managing additions and disposals, and ensuring depreciation/amortisation is accounted for per company policies.
• Set personal targets and objectives with direct reports.
• Provide ad hoc financial management information as needed.
• Systems are Sage and then dataplan for Payroll
