A well-respected mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support students who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour and engagement in school. Your key responsibilities will include:

Building positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and motivation.
Supporting students with behavioural challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
Acting as a role model and providing a safe and structured environment for learning.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient and resilient approach.
The ability to manage challenging behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
A genuine passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
