gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Quality Control Inspector to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical sheets.
Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
Proficient in the use of handheld measuring devices including callipers, gauges, micrometres etc.
Work to set daily targets.
Record non-conformances in a descriptive manner.
Signing C of C (training provided)
Completing first off and final inspectionPerson Specification

A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
Use of handheld measuring equipment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies
Knowledge of CMM
Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
PC literate with at immediate skills Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
Good time management and organisational skills.Physical Requirements:

Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 - 50 lbs frequently.
Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.Apply
