The Role of a GP Receptionist
We are currently seeking a full time GP Receptionist to join a busy GP surgery, supporting the team on Reception. This role will suit a Receptionist who has excellent customer service skills and who can confidently communicate over the telephone and face to face. Flexibility is essential as hours may be different each week. EMIS experience is desirable.

Main duties of a GP Receptionist will include:

• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Booking appointments
• Liaising with visitors to the reception front desk
• Assisting with other ad hoc administrative duties

The Candidate
The ideal GP Receptionist will have the following skills and attributes:

• Excellent telephone manner
• Previous EMIS experience (desirable)
• Ability to work productively in a busy environment
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Resilience and empathy are essential in this role
