The Job:

Project Engineer - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering cutting-edge BESS solutions, working across the full project lifecycle. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW, helping to drive the UK's transition to net-zero energy.

What You'll Do:

* Design & Engineering: Support the design and technical specifications of BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

* Project Coordination: Facilitate design reviews, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and maintain project documentation.

* Technical Oversight: Review and approve technical documentation, conduct risk assessments, and propose solutions for electrical systems.

* Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards while implementing quality control measures.

* Site Support: Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning, ensuring project specifications are met.

What We're Looking For:

* Strong understanding of electrical systems (LV/HV) and battery technology.

* Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD.

* Familiarity with UK electrical standards and regulations (BS 7671, 18th Edition).

* Experience with grid-connected systems and knowledge of grid services like Frequency Response and Energy Arbitrage.

* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, with excellent communication skills.

* Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems and at least 2 years' experience in the energy or renewable sector.
