Pure are delighted to be partnering with an excellent business based in Witham looking for an experienced Payroll/ Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 6 month contract basis.Duties will include the following:

• Responsible for processing monthly payroll
• Responsible for managing the payment run process - weekly/monthly runs
• Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis
• Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations, including reconciling all intercompany balances at month-end and resolving any discrepancies
• Regularly circulating timesheet analysis and chasing line managers for incomplete/inaccurate time recording
• Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor compliance is maintained, and CIS is appropriately applied where applicable
• Preparation of accurate HMRC submission such as PAYE, VAT, CIS, P11D
• Supporting internal and external audit process
• Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Finance and Finance Director with any financial analysis as required
• Streamline and drive continuous improvement in order to gain efficiencies in the finance team

Requirements:

• AAT qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA
• Ideally 2+ Years experience in Payroll
• Management Accounts experience
• Strong Excel Skills 
• High attention to detail
• A can-do attitude
• Clear communicator
