An exciting Assistant Treasury & VAT Accountant opportunity has arisen to join a well-established forward-thinking Public Sector organisation on a permanent full time basis. My client is looking for an individual with existing Treasury & VAT experience who is looking for a role that they can shape and to add value to.

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Treasury & VAT Accountant

Support the day to day treasury activities of the organisation
VAT analysis and return, pulling these together for the Senior Treasury & VAT Accountant to have oversight of
Analyse financial data, identify trends and variances and provide insights to support decision-making processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and Processes
Participate in financial system improvements and contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting capabilities
Stay updated with changes in financial regulations, policies, and best practices, supporting
their implementation within the teamRequired skills and experience of the Assistant Treasury & VAT Accountant

A recognised accountancy qualification / part qualification (CIPFA,ACA,ACCA,CIMA) or QBE
Previous experience completing VAT returns
Experience of applying technical accounting knowledge as part of financial management practices.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
