Active Recruitment is working closely with a highly reputable Ofsted graded “Good” mainstream secondary school in Brentwood, who are seeking a full-time DT Teacher to start after the Easter break on a temp to perm basis. They are ideally seeking a DT Teacher with experience across Resistant materials, product design and textiles to key stage 3 and 4. The school is renowned in the local area for its state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional teaching environments.

Duties and Responsibilities of the DT Teacher:

* Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to secondary school students, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

* Develop well-structured and creative lesson plans, tailored to the needs of the students and aligned with the curriculum.

* Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, effectively managing student behavior and fostering a love for History.

* Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the History department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching all DT Specialisms at secondary level.

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students.

Ability to differentiate lessons to support all learners.
