Salary: £17.38 - £23.12 per hour

Participating in the care and development of programmes, promoting the health, welfare and comfort of each client and working with the staff group to provide a consistent, stimulating and caring environment.

DUTIES COMPRISE

  • Offer personal care to residents in a respectful, dignified and non judgmental manner using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment if required and participate in training relevant to this.
  • Support residents in accessing and participating in community based activities such as Adult education classes, social events, sports groups etc
  • Participating in sleeping-in duty, waking night duties, and work at evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
  • Responsibility for the ongoing management of the establishment in the absence of supervisory staff.
  • Participating in the care and development of programmes, promoting the health, welfare and comfort of each client and working withl the staff group to provide a consistent, stimulating and caring environment.
  • Appreciate, understand and have knowledge of different ethnic needs, and ensure that they are met and encourage clients similarly.
  • Undertaking supervised key worker duties with clients, family and other workers as appropriate. Participate in the development, monitoring and updating of Individual Plans for key residents.
  • Performing administrative/clerical duties as required which includes the safe handling and recording of money.
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Councils Health and Safety policy and relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • To use and assist others to use information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • To achieve service outcomes and outputs, and personal appraisal targets, as agreed with your line manager.
  • To adhere to the Code of Conduct of the General Social Care Council.
  • To undertake relevant training and development, including meetings, supervision, seminars and other events.
  • To be committed to the Council’s core values of public service, quality and equality.
  • At all times carrying out responsibilities and duties in accordance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice and Council policies and procedures.
  • To undertake additional duties commensurate with the grade as directed by your line manger.

REQUIREMENTS

At Least 6 months experience working with Adults with Learning diabilities and hold NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
