M&E Commercial Manager - £60,000 & Car Allowance & Personal Bonus & Company Bonus

I am recruiting for a M&E Commercial Manager for an SME based near Hyde, Greater Manchester.

Our client offers Mechanical and Electrical Services covering the North West and surrounding areas England. Working directly for Clients and Main Contractors, specialising with  education, healthcare and commercial projects.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced M&E Commercial Manager to join our existing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical& electrical engineering, with at least 5 years of industry experience and a proven track record in managing commercial aspects of M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all commercial activities for the project, including cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery within budget and timelines.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the project.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor project costs and variations, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and potential risks.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry in a similar commercial role.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and project management tools.

Desirable:
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIBSE, or similar).
