Hours: Monday to Friday, Days only Early Finish on Friday!!!

Our client, a leading manufacturing company near Aylesbury, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Works Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining all plant equipment and building facilities to ensure optimal operation and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine and preventive maintenance across plant equipment and building services.

* Oversee Insurance inspections of plant machinery in all units.

* Support the Quality Department with COSHH responsibilities.

* Maintain heating, water treatment, and air systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

* Drive plant development, control, and services, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

* Participate in Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving initiatives.

* Actively contribute to meetings and provide timely responses to breakdowns and engineering requests.

Person Specification:

Qualifications & Knowledge (Required):

* BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)

* Valid Driver's Licence

Desirable:

* Reach Truck/Counterbalance Licence

* LOLER Inspection Certificate

* Basic knowledge of PLC systems

* Experience with EPS moulding plants or similar processes

* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles

Skills & Experience:

* Strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience

* Preventive maintenance experience within a strong H&S culture

* Proven ability to manage breakdowns, fault-find, and solve problems

* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

* Organised, methodical, and able to work under pressure

* A collaborative team player with flexibility and adaptability

Working Environment:

This role requires activity in various parts of the facility, including production, plant rooms, offices, and the warehouse.
