Behaviour Improvement Officer

Location: Newham, London

We are seeking a Behaviour Improvement Officer to work within our Isolation Unit, where you will play a key role in supporting and supervising students. This vital role is designed to help students reflect on their behaviour, develop self-discipline, and make positive choices to succeed in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise students within the Isolation Unit, ensuring a calm and structured environment.
Provide guidance to help students understand the consequences of their actions and encourage positive behaviour change.
Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Implement behaviour management strategies, offering tailored support to individual students as needed.
Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised behaviour improvement plans.
Act as a role model, promoting respect, resilience, and responsibility among students.

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting or similar.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A calm and patient approach to managing challenging behaviours.
A commitment to helping students succeed, both academically and personally.
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies (desirable but not essential).
