HIU Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are partnering with a fast-growing low-carbon energy company to recruit a skilled HIU Service & Repair Engineer / Heating Interface Unit Engineer to join their expanding team across London and the South.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong knowledge of HIU systems to step into a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation working at the cutting edge of heat network maintenance and optimisation.

As a HIU Service & Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out service and fault-finding tasks on HIUs from a range of manufacturers
Diagnosing system failures, replacing components, and reinstating heat supply
Responding to reactive maintenance callouts (1-in-4 week on-call rota)
Supporting with monthly mechanical checks and commissioning preparation
Assisting in training of junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge
Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records using an online system
Participating in minor project work and scoping remedial activities
Communicating effectively with internal teams and site-based personnel

To be considered for this role, you should have:

At least 1 year of experience working on HIUs, ideally across multiple brands
Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, including safe isolation procedures
Familiarity with plantroom systems and heat network setups (desirable)
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
A proactive and organised mindset with a commitment to high standards
Part G and Part P qualifications (desirable)
Full UK driving licence (valid for at least 12 months)

The package on offer includes:

Base salary of £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
