Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Salary: £38,000 to £45,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), plus company van and benefits

Hours: 43 hours per week. Approx 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (+ on call 1 in 5 weeks to include weekend work)

Location: Mobile role covering Wigan, Preston and Manchester

What you'll be doing;

Operating and maintaining Steam Boiler House systems to include Package Steam Boilers, Water Treatment Plants and other industrial utility plant.
Effective completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on a range of Mechanical systems is required such as Steam & Water Systems, Boilers, Pumps, Control Valves.
Breakdown and repair on systems to include overhaul equipment and pipe fitting works
Project work including minor mechanical installation.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and publication of plant quality records and reports and implementing Safe Systems of Work to include production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Supporting out of hour alarms from mobile sites through On-Call rota cover (1 in 5 weeks)
What we're looking for;

Essential:

A proven engineering background within Mechanical Engineering industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship
Experienced on industrial Mechanical equipment and Industrial Utilities assets.
Experience with industrial plant fault finding and maintenance
Ability to assist a multi-disciplined Engineering team.
Full clean driving licenceDesirable:

Experience of operating Steam Boiler plant.
Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant to aid operations, maintenance and fault finding on plant
Experience of maintenance on Steam systems.
Experience of multi-skilled work to support both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance tasks within an Industrial environment
You will have experience of producing Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statement / Risk Assessments for tasks
Knowledge of Gas, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant & equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Demineralisation and Reverse Osmosis
You will ideally possess qualification in some of the following areas - IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMACarbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
