Company Overview

The business operates within FMCG manufacturing and in 2015 they had new state-of-the-art facility which was modernised, supplies major supermarkets and schools with a high-quality product line. They take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-organized work environment. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join the dynamic team.

Role Overview

As an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continued operation and efficiency of all production machinery and electrical systems on site. Your primary responsibilities will be to provide both reactive and preventative maintenance, with a focus on electrical fault-finding, maintaining control panels, and ensuring minimal downtime across the plant.

You will be working closely with the engineering team on a rotating shift pattern from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Monday to Friday). This role requires a proactive individual who can work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and contribute to improving the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) within the facility.

Skills & Experience Required

Qualifications:

A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering).
17th or 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification (advantageous).

Experience:

Proven experience in electrical fault finding and diagnostics within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working on control panels, including reading schematics and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of both reactive and preventative maintenance processes.

Skills:

Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with electrical systems in a production or automated environment.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced setting.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with colleagues and log maintenance actions.

Work Environment: The site is modern, tidy, and well-maintained, having been built in 2015.
Training & Development: Opportunities for training and professional development will be provided, with a focus on enhancing skills in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Shifts: Rotating shifts (Monday to Friday):

Early Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Late Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Overtime: Overtime opportunities may be available, paid at a competitive rate.
