Leader Education are recruiting an Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work in a Smart Multi Academy Trust primary school based in Gateshead. This school caters for EYFS to Key Stage 2 and prides itself on being a welcoming, fulfilling academy that caters for each pupils needs. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with children as well as a genuine passion for education.

Their latest Ofsted report was presented as "Good" as they continue to develop innovative approaches to create a stimulating and motivating curriculum for students to succeed.

The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm and is a long-term position given a successful trial.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An adequate understanding of safeguarding and the overall welfare of children
• The ability to assist with classroom activities and provide one-to-one support to pupils that may require extra support
• A compassionate, kind and respectful personality
• A genuine passion and drive to make a significant difference in pupil's lives through tailored support
