Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be responsible for supporting individuals with mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing care plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health and emotional well-being.

* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

* Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.

* Provide therapeutic interventions, including counselling and support for coping strategies.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.

* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

* Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all patients.

Qualifications

* Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a specialization in mental health nursing.

* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to mental health conditions.

* MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN EATING DISORDERS

* Proven experience in patient care within a mental health setting is highly desirable.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.

* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and care planning.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
