Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

Optima are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Dudley.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
Ensure proper operation through preventive maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and resolve faults, working with electrical systems and mechanical equipment
Conduct routine checks and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Work with welding, fabrication, and sub-assembly tasks
Follow health and safety regulations and adhere to all safety standards
Interpret technical documents, schematics, and equipment manuals

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in equipment maintenance, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and repair
Strong background in maintenance engineering and electrical systems
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and fabrication systems
Hands-on experience with welding
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
Familiarity with the 17th/18th Edition Electrical Regulations
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team
