Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN TA) in a SEND Provision
**Location: Orpington
**Position Type: Temporary & Long Term Roles - ASAP
**Daily Charge: £85 - £100 (depending on experience)

SEND Provision is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary SEN Teaching Assistants to join their SEND Provision in Orpington who are open to either long term or on a supply basis.

The successful SEN TAs will have experience working 1:1 and in classroom settings with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural challenges, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities. In these roles, they require SEN TAs who are patient, understanding, and proactive individual who can support the diverse needs of their pupils.

• Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with ASD, behavioural challenges, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities.
• Worked in a similar position as either an SEN Teaching Assistant OR Teaching Assistant / Support Assistant / LSA / SEN child Support Worker
• You live in close commute to Orpington
• You have an enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one ASAP.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with ASD, behavioural challenges, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
• Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt and modify teaching materials and resources to meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Encourage and promote pupil independence and self-confidence.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assist with personal care tasks as required, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using appropriate strategies.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a SEND setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varying needs of pupils.
