General Manager - Accident Repair Centre

Location: Portsmouth

Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:30-17:00

Salary: £48,000-£55,000 per annum + Potential for a quarterly bonus based on site performance.

Contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to take charge of a busy Accident Repair Centre in Portsmouth. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, maintaining high repair quality, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the repair centre.

* Maximise profitability while maintaining quality standards.

* Manage and support staff across all departments, including workshop, VDAs, parts, and reception.

* Liaise with customers, ensuring top-tier service and communication.

* Ensure smooth workflow and update reception on workshop capacity.

* Maintain and enforce high-quality repair standards.

* Work closely with key stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.

* Support financial planning, budgeting, and cost reduction strategies.

* Assist with due diligence for potential business investments.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in workshop management.

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Understanding of accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.

* Analytical mindset with a proactive and problem-solving approach.

* Knowledge of estimating processes and systems.

* Full UK driving licence required.
