Position: Assistant Store Manager
Salary: £35,625 to £43,440, plus London allowance where applicable (starting salary negotiable for the ideal candidate)
Contract Type/Working Hours: Permanent, 45 hours per week
Minimum Requirements:

Possession of a full driving licence (or commitment to obtain one within 3 months of commencement, excluding London/M25 areas)
Legal right to work in the UK
Flexibility regarding working hours, including weekends and evenings
Demonstrated management experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven history of managing, developing, and leading teamsRole Overview:

As an Assistant Store Manager in a supermarket, you will be instrumental in supporting the Store Manager in the operation of a multi-million-pound store. You will be tasked with motivating and developing a diverse and talented team.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

Assisting with deliveries, placing orders, and addressing customer enquiries
Managing team performance and organising staff schedules
Maximising sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, minimising costs, and optimising operational efficiency
Assuming the Store Manager's responsibilities in their absenceKey Responsibilities:

Inspire and lead the team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee daily operations, including stock management and store presentation
Address customer complaints and enquiries with professionalism and efficiency
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Continuously monitor and enhance store performance through effective management practicesPerson Specification:

Experienced in people management within a fast-paced retail environment
Open to candidates from non-food backgrounds (e.g., fashion retail) who meet the requirements
Proven ability to lead teams in a dynamic, customer-centric environment
Strong time management skills and a focus on operational efficiency
Highly motivated to consistently achieve targets
Friendly, helpful, and respectful towards customers and team members
Capable of handling challenging situations and delivering impressive results
