A well-established and respected structural steel company is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded individual to play a key role in the procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services across a variety of steelwork projects.

• Manage the full purchasing process for structural steel, consumables, and subcontracted services.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure the best value, quality, and delivery performance.

• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to drive cost savings without compromising project deadlines or standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material requirements and manage stock levels.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and project specifications.

• Continuously review and improve procurement strategies, systems, and procedures.

• Previous experience in a purchasing role within the structural steel industry is essential.

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

• Excellent understanding of materials and components used in steel fabrication and erection.

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems is advantageous.
