Location: Old Street, N1. Most office-based staff work hybrid, working part of the time in the office and part of the time at home.
Our client is looking for an experienced media officer to help grow the influence of a small but effective press office.

About the Role
With a new government in power, this is a critical time for the countryside and an exciting time to join this charity. As media officer, you will help to deliver high-profile coverage of the organisation's work as part of an impactful and expanding team.
You will work closely with the media manager and other colleagues across the Policy and Advocacy teams to help communicate the charity's key policy lines to the public via print and broadcast media. Yo wi’ll also be working with the charity's network of local groups to help shape their media relations activities.
Your day-to-day work might include:
- Supporting and leading on conversations with journalists to help generate coverage of the charity's work
- Writing press releases and media briefings for internal and external audiences
- Using specialist software to evaluate the charity's press coverage and the wider media landscape
- Supporting colleagues to become effective and confident spokespeople
