We are looking for a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team.
The Role:As a Speech and Language Therapist at our SEMH school, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' communication development. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality speech and language therapy interventions, tailored to the individual needs of our students. Your work will help to enhance their social communication skills, increase self-expression, and improve overall engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students.
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Work closely with teaching staff to support students within the classroom environment.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting interventions as required.
- Offer guidance and support to parents, carers, and staff on speech and language strategies.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and reviews of students' progress.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
About You:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable.
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication development in children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, including teachers, psychologists, and social workers.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in students' lives.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
