Red Recruitment is recruiting a Claims Handler to join our client who has almost 40 years experience of helping people secure vehicle and home insurance across the UK. Located in Liverpool, our client is looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills with a natural empathetic approach to customers. The salary for this position is £24,255 - £25,876 per annum, there is also an opportunity to earn more with OTE and bonuses.
Benefits and Package for a Claims Handler:
- Salary: £24,255 - £25,876 per annum OTE including up to a £4,200 performance related bonus per annum, (once established within your role)
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8am - 8pmEvery 1 in 3 weekends you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, 9am - 5pm, in return you will get 2 days off in lieu

Key Responsibilities of a Claims Handler:
- Providing a professional and proactive response in assessing claims in line with policy and procedure
- Providing an empathetic service to clients who have been involved in road traffic incidents
- Liaising with external companies and internal departments in a timely and professional manner in order to effectively process the customers claim notification
- Resolving any issues avoiding expressions of dissatisfaction escalating into complaints
- Monitoring and managing claims ensuring all services are provided in an agreed timescale
- Assessing new claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions
